February Business Meeting Minutes

September 8th, 2003

 

Meeting called to order at 6:40 by President Rogue River Renegade.  Meeting was held at Angelo’s Pizza parlor with 15 members present.

 

Minutes:  Motion to accept the minutes as written by Gaye Abandon, 2nd Sweetwater Jack, the motion carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Was not given

 

TG Report:    Col Gilliam said that the vote to accept the 44 mg Henry Yellow Boy was not was decisive enough to accept it.  Decision has been tabled until SASS convention.

Classic Cowboy class:  There have been some SASS members that want the class changed to allow more types of costumes. Club did not agree with this.

The Colonel will attend the SASS TG conference on December 7th in Las Vegas. 

 

Ashland Gun Club:  Just Bill reported that the demo for the Boy Scout leaders went well.

 

Unfinished Business: 

 

Annual shoot review-Everyone felt that the annual shoot went very well. Only a couple of things we might change for next year.  Prizes will be spread out a little differently.  Not grouping all bullets, etc together.  Many positive comments from those who attended.  All want to come back next year! 

 

Klamath Cowboys annual shoot-everyone that attended had a good time.

 

New Business: 

 

Scenario writers:  H. Apple Bob, Rogue River Renegade, Sourdough Smitty, Dawson, Colonel Gilliam

 

Buckaroo Class discussed-It was decided that 1 22 pistol and 1 22 rifle would be used to start with and then add a 410 shotgun as the shooters were able to move up.

 

Gussied Up will be having a dinner and a dance on December 27. Tickets are $30 each. The dinner is limited to 50 people.  Call for tickets.

 

Nominations for officers will be accepted at the October meeting.  JD Walker is the person in charge. Please check with the person you would like to nominate to be sure that they are interested in running.
