Gussied up is back in town

  the attire of the old west.  She has specialized in hats and Victorian bridal gowns, but has expanded her selection to corsets, parasols, bloomers, & lace up boots to name a few.  She also plans on providing a variety of options for men as well.  She enjoys studying the history of the clothing and is very interested in passing along her knowledge.  She has many authentic patterns to choose from and is willing to assist in expanding our SASS wardrobes.

Gussied Up is now located at 150 South Oregon Street.  Ruby May Wilkes has cordially invited everyone to attend her Open House Saturday, March 1st from 11am to 4pm for door prizes and refreshments.  SASS attire is strongly encouraged and rigs are also welcome. Anyone interested in giving a gun safety demonstration or to talk about SASS is welcome to  (continued on pg 3)

Loreli Thayer, also known by her SASS alias Ruby May Wilkes, has been very busy since her last appearance at the Lithia Springs Shootout last year.  She has spent the year traveling to different SASS events with her Victorian and old west wares while researching various historically correct attire.  She has returned with many ideas and a passionate desire to become the largest old west clothing supplier to both men and women in the northwest as well as support the local SASS members. 

Ruby May Wilkes has returned to Jacksonville and its history to establish herself once again to continue to add to her 22 years of experience in recreating

Committee                    Long Henry Thompson

Long Henry Thompson led the first meeting of the Jefferson State Regulator’s By-laws committee at the Ashland Gun Club clubhouse on Monday, February 17, 2003 at 7:00 PM.  There were 8 JSR members in attendance; Long Henry Thompson, Just Bill, Ima Loden, H. Apple Bob, JD Walker, MT Dawson, Col. Cornelius, and Sweetwater Jack.  The group reviewed the by-laws of the Ashland Gun Club, which JSR has been operating under to this point.  The next meeting will be held on March 17, 2003 at 6:30 PM at the Ashland Gun Club clubhouse.  Anyone may attend.  Snacks will be provided.
